I’m having a rest and a snack during my self-appointed break from WordPress theme coding for a freelance job, thinking about what to do with my day. I don’t even want to think about all of the work I have looming Sunday morning, or the midnight oil I’ll be burning tonight through Tuesday to get all of it done. Nope, I’d rather think about something fun to do after I’ve got some of the bugs ironed out of this theme.
I do my best thinking when I’m snacking on something good, and today I’ve got a couple of Edy’s Outshine fruit bars (tangerine, which I’ve never had before from this type of fruit bar, and coconut/banana which is my favorite) – but I’m mixing it up today. Those fruit bars are the prequel to some yummy frozen fruit that’s thawing in the covered Chinese soup bowl beneath the bars in the pic below:
It’s this great tropical mix of pineapple chunks, strawberries, peaches and mango with no syrup or anything dumb like that to mask the flavor. Once they’re thawed, they taste fresh but I like to wait until they’re just soft enough that they aren’t ice cubes and munch on them as a great tropical frozen snack, which is what I’m about to do. I might throw some in the Nutri Bullet with another coconut water fruit bar, a banana and some almond milk – make myself a tropical smoothie!
It’s still fairly cold, but the rain’s broken today and it’s been so sunny that I hope that the sunshine along with something tropical-tasting will give me a summery pick-meup. I long for the beach, warm sand and cool tide, how about you?
